Dear GDOP participant
God has given a brother from the Middle East, Refaat, a clear vision/instruction to issue a call to Christians around the world to read the Bible cover-to-cover in 90 Days. This vision was an answer to our prayers for something to bring deeper impact in the 90 Days of Blessing and something that will enable every individual to participate.
11 May 2008 will see Christians from nations all around the world uniting in the Global Day of Prayer. Up to date millions of believers have united annually on Pentecost Sunday for a day of repentance and prayer. The focus was to see “the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
A simple threefold strategy has been implemented to saturate the nations with prayer:
· 10 Days of day and night prayer, preceding GDOP
· Global Day of Prayer
· 90 Days of Blessing
Let’s repossess that what the enemy has stolen: let us READ the Word, PRAY the Word and SERVE God’s people practically as God directs us in Scripture.
Globally there is a firm belief that a new day is dawning (Isaiah 8:20). We need to move into a deeper intimacy with God if we want to see the nations of the world transformed. We need a new and fresh revelation of God.
God reveals Himself through His written Word (Luke 24:27). Therefore, a better understanding of who God is, His character and what His will and purpose are for us and the peoples of the world, we need to prayerfully read and study the Word of God.
For many this will feel like an impossible mission to read the entire Bible in 90 days. Do you know that it is possible to read THE WHOLE BIBLE IN ONLY 80 HOURS! This practically means that if you only spend 1 hour per day reading the Word, it will take you a maximum of 90 Days to read the Bible from beginning to end --- including 2 days of grace!
Many around the globe have already ventured into this adventure of reading the word in 90 Days. For example in Egypt, India, Indonesia and many other places Christians already participate in Reading the Bible from Cover to Cover at least once a year.
This is an invitation, an urgent call to Christians from all the nations to be part of this initiative.
We invite you to participate in a Bible Marathon, while continuing your fervent prayers and practical acts of mercy in your communities and nations during the 90 days of blessing after the Global Day of Prayer.
The vision is the following:
- 100 000 people reading the whole Bible in 90 Days in 2008
- 10 Million people reading the whole Bible in 90 Days in 2009
- 1 Billion reading the whole Bible in 90 Days in 2010
The Challenge:
- It starts with your individual commitment, then
- Mobilize your community/nation/region to read the whole bible during the 90 Days of Blessing from 12 May – 10 August 2008
- If this time period is not favorable, decide what time will work best for you, or
- Join an initiative in Egypt that will commence on 1 October 2008 www.bible-marathon.com

This is your personal invitation to join us for the annual Watchman’s School of Prayer in Cape Town, South Africa!
During this full-time school of five days, you will be challenged into a deeper walk with God and find ways and means of connecting with God in a practical way. God is calling the worshipping musicians, singers and intercessors back into His presence to discover the joy of a life of prayer and intimacy with Jesus. He desires us to engage in a 24/7 lifestyle of complete devotion unto Him!
The Watchman’s School of Prayer is in the format of a prayer retreat, using day and night intercessory worship as one of the tools to connect with God. It is all about creating a space for God to meet with us, seeking His face, spending time in worship, prayer and learning more about the ways of God in a deeper prayer life. There will be several practical sessions during the school to equip participants with regards to prayer. Some of these include; setting different kinds of prayer rooms, filling up a prayer schedule, how to reach out with prayer into your community, how to pray for the felt needs of people, to minister to the sick and much more.

COST: R850.00 per person (including meals and accommodation)
We can accommodate 120 people. Please register as soon as possible to reserve your place. Delegates will be expected to attend the whole conference.

On-site registration will take place from 15h00 – 17h00 on September 29th 2008.
