Righteous Reign 365

A Prayer project for 2012
Coordinated by the “Pretoria Prayer Force”

Making Prayer for our government a priority in 2012

Why:

We believe that it is our responsibility as believers in this city to thoroughly take up the divine call of praying for our government and authorities. We believe that only righteousness can establish the throne of a nation.

1 Tim 2:1-3Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made… for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

Heb 1:8b - …A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.

What:

We invite Christians in Tshwane / Pretoria to raise up teams (consisting of a minimum of 2 believers) that will commit to pray at the Union Buildings and thereby establishing daily prayer covering for the government in 2012. These believers will proclaim the Word of God and declare His will over governmental structures in South Africa. A proclamation document compiled from Scripture will be supplied to participants.

commit to dates:

We need believers that will take ownership (to go and pray at the Union buildings for 30-60 minutes) for each one of the 365 days of 2012. We encourage you to challenged Christians in your congregation, community, prayer group, cell group or friendship circle to commit to this prayer task for one, two or more days of 2012.

If you are willing to participate please send your name, email and cell number to the contact details provided below. Clearly state the date(s) (month and day) for which you will be available.

10 Days of 24/7 prayer 2012

10 Days of 24/7 prayer 2012 preceding the Global Day of Prayer

Pray Globally, Gather Locally

17 – 26 May 2012

“I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night.  You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth"

Isaiah 62:6-7

The 10 Days preceding the Global Day of Prayer creates an excellent opportunity to unite in prayer with millions around the globe based on Acts 1 & 2 and the day and night prayer help us to gradually build a lifestyle of prayer in our communities, as well as to focus our prayers much wider than our personal and national needs as we pray with millions during this time.
